Brief US History On The War for Profit Theory

There are many industries in the US today, and the sole purpose of these industries is to profit. However, I am inclined to doubt that a majority of the US population would be supportive of profits made by war.

The “war for profit” theory, also known as the military industrial complex, is a partnership between defense contractors and government forces with both sides ultimately getting what they want–a successful military engagement for war planners and financial profit for the corporate “suits” behind the scenes. This concept sickening to say the least, and we were warned about this during President Eisenhower’s farewell speech.

The purpose of Eisenhower’s warning was to prevent America from allowing the military industrial complex dictate America’s actions at home or overseas, and this warning had little to no effect because the military industrial complex is in full force.
